My readers have shown some interest in the cascading bouquet. Most of my brides these days are asking for the hand-tied, more compact style bouquet. It is modern and clean and the closely arranged flowers show color well and make it very durable too! When one of my bouquets is done, you can wave it around, toss it in the air and otherwise forget about it and it will stay in tact all day.
The cascading bouquet might be on it’s way back. Brides are inquiring about them more and more lately. The cascading bouquet can be very soft and romantic. The flowers can drape gracefully along the flow of a wedding gown, and can still be modern and fresh. Here are some examples of the modern girls cascading bouquet.
This first bouquet I’ve had in the archives for sometime. I can’t remember where I got this image. The Bouquet speaks to me of tender romance and femininity. It looks like it may be made with sweet-peas, freesia and the tender vine surrounding it in green, possibly Jasmine.
This ultra-modern cascade is made of pure white Phalaenopsis Orchids. Simple; clean; modern, but with a twist. The ornate handle has an antique feel to it. Don’t you think? {photo via Style Me Pretty}

This cascading bouquet has a tropical feel to it. The base is made of Lilies and Dendrobium orchids trail beneath. {photo via Style Me Pretty}

This bouquet by Rhapsody in Bloom {that is Moi!} was made with soft pinky, peach roses (that’s a technical term), sprinkled with the lovely scented Lily of the Valley, mint and other herbs. The bride called it “intoxicating”! She really enjoyed that it was softly fragrant.
Another Rhapsody in Bloom cascading bouquet, using Calla Lilies, freesia, tea roses and orchids.

And here it is in the bride’s hands. Photo by MS Photography.
